6 ways to use Copaiba essential oil
Open a bottle of Copaiba essential oil and let the scent of the Amazon rainforest out. Steam distilled and resin tapped from the Brazilian Copaifera reticulata tree, Copaiba essential oil features a warm, woodsy scent and includes the naturally occurring constituent beta-caryophyllene, making it a popular addition to many spa and skin treatments. With a comforting, earthy aroma and a myriad of uses, Copaiba is the perfect daily indulgence to feel transported to a lush South American landscape. Read on for our favorite ways to use Copaiba oil.
1. In your moisturizer
Does your skin need a pick-me-up? Copaiba essential oil reduces the appearance of blemishes and promotes the appearance of a youthful, radiant glow. Add a few drops to a neutral or lightly scented moisturizer for a spa-like experience every evening before bed.
2. As a perfume
Copaiba oil has a uniquely sweet aromatic profile, which won’t overpower soft florals or subtle hints of citrus. Use it in customized perfumes in place of other woodsy oils like Cedarwood or Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood for a more delicate summer fragrance that won’t be overpowering in warmer temperatures.
3. In the diffuser
With a scent straight out of the Amazon, Copaiba puts the experience of a rainforest hideout just a few drops away. Put on some nature sounds and fill a room with this exotic aroma:
Rainforest Escape4 drops Copaiba essential oil
3 drops Cedarwood essential oil
2 drops Lime essential oil
4. During a massage
After a hard workout, strenuous hike, or overall stressful day, share a Copaiba massage with a loved one. Dilute Copaiba with V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex or a carrier oil of your choice and massage on fatigued areas after activity for a comforting cooldown.
5. In your diet
Copaiba has a soothing, complex flavor with a hint of balsamic. Its high beta-caryophyllene content makes it a popular dietary supplement. Young Living’s Copaiba Vitality™ is labeled for internal use and makes a great addition to herbal teas such as chamomile or rooibos. It can also be added to a capsule and taken internally.
6. In a foot soak

Imagine yourself at a spa in the Brazilian rainforest. If you can’t get away, bring the spa to you with a luxurious foot soak. This spa-inspired Tropical Resort Foot Soak recipe will whisk you away and soothe muscles at the end of a long day.
Tropical Resort Foot SoakIngredients:
  • ¼ cup Epsom salt
  • 2 drops Copaiba essential oil
  • 2 drops PanAway® essential oil blend
  • Warm water
Directions:
  1. Mix Epsom salt and essential oils in a small bowl.
  2. Add salt mixture to warm water.
  3. Sit back, relax, and let your feet soak for 15–30 minutes.

April 30, 2016 by Abundant Health™ |
Some of us really aren't morning people and need a little help feeling energized and positive when waking up. If you can relate, these Citrus Shower Melts may be just the thing you need! Place one in your morning shower, and enjoy the wonderful, energizing citrus scent as your bathroom fills with steam and the hot water hits the shower melt. Be careful though—you may find yourself loving your morning when you start it with one of these!

Citrus Shower Melts
  • Servings: Yield=8–10 melts
  • Time: 15 minutes active; 1 hour inactive
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients & Supplies:
  • 1 cup (149 g) cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. (30 ml) water + more as needed
  • Yellow and red food coloring (optional)
  • 6 drops lemon essential oil
  • 6 drops orange essential oil
  • 4 drops bergamot essential oil
  • 16 oz. PET Jar
Instructions:
  1. Place cornstarch in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine 2 Tbsp. of water, a few drops of food coloring, and essential oils.
Stir water mixture into the cornstarch, and continue adding water drop by drop until a thick crumb-like paste starts to form.
  3. Transfer to an ice cube tray or silicone mold, and freeze until set (about an hour).
  4. To use, place a shower melt on the floor of your shower, and turn the hot water on. Enjoy the citrus aroma as the water and steam hit the shower melt!
  5. Store in a airtight container like this PET Jar. Note: If you added too much water and they start to melt, you will want to keep them frozen until you use them. Otherwise, you can store them at room temperature.

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Some would call these fat bombs, but this mousse is so divine that it deserves to stand on its own.

What you do
  • Mix the cream together until stiff if not already stiff
  • Add the avocado and mix all together
  • Add the sweetener, cacao and vanilla and mix until mixed through
 What you need
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 3 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of keto friendly sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon of good quality cacao
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla

 Tips
  • I generally use perfectly ripe avos for this mousse, but it is also a good way to use up over ripe avocados.
  • It doesn't need much mixing, but you definitely don't want green bits in your mousse, so be sure to mix it until everything is mixed through.
  • Experiment with all these ingredients according to your own taste.

You may prefer less or more sweetener and the same with the cacao.

The 15 dirtiest spots in your house And how to make them sparkle

Young Living Blog
When it comes to cleaning, some tasks simply stink—figuratively, literally, and sometimes both. To handle the chores that always get moved to the bottom of the to-do list, we’ve pulled together some deep cleaning tips using Thieves® Household Cleaner that will make your house sparkle from top to bottom.
Diluting Thieves Household Cleaner appropriately will help you get your job done quickly and easily. It will also help you keep your house fresh and clean without using toxic chemicals or harsh synthetics:
  • All-purpose cleaner: 30 parts water to 1 part Thieves Household Cleaner
  • Heavy degreasing: 15 parts water to 1 part Thieves Household Cleaner
  • Light degreasing/glass and windows: 50 parts water to 1 part Thieves Household Cleaner
Now you’re ready to take on everything on your house cleaning checklist!
1. Range hoodDid you know that a completely plant-based product has the power to address the heavy grease that can accumulate under your range hood? It’s easy to forget about this kitchen workhorse, which is how it ends up hanging on to the funk of way too many meals past! Clear the air:
  1. Mix according to directions for heavy degreasing and put in a spray bottle.
  2. Spray range hood and let product sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Wipe clean with dry microfiber cloth.
2. Doorknobs and light switchesWe touch them every day, but we rarely think about cleaning them. When kid’s little hands are constantly reaching for them, it might be a good idea to give the doorknobs and light switches in your house a good cleaning. Fortunately, when you use Thieves Household Cleaner, you don’t have to worry about harsh synthetic products that are harmful for kids or pets, since you know the minute you wipe it down, tiny hands will immediately reach for the same spots. Thieves Wipes make this job a breeze, or:
  1. Mix a spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Spray a cloth with 3–4 spritzes.
  3. Wipe affected areas.
3. PhoneFrom pockets to purses, our phones see a lot of action, but they rarely get cleaned. Get rid of fingermarks and general yuck with the help of Thieves Wipes, or follow the instructions for doorknobs and light switches above, making sure to keep the spray on your rag and not on your phone.
4. Cabinet doorsWhether they’re in your kitchen, bathroom, or hallway, cabinet doors get opened a lot but rarely by recently cleaned hands. Freshen them up with a quick wipe down.
  1. Mix a spray bottle of light degreaser.
  2. Spray cabinet doors and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
5. Washing machineThe residue from your washing machine can slowly build up and lead to gunk that keeps your clothes from getting as clean as possible. Help your washing machine do the best job it can by giving it a deep cleaning.
  1. Turn on your washing machine for the largest load size, with the hottest water setting and the longest wash.
  2. As the washer fills, add ½ quart of white vinegar and 1 cap of Thieves Household Cleaner.
  3. Let the washer fill for approximately 1 minute; then add ½ cup of baking soda.
  4. Open the lid and let it sit for 1 hour. While the water sits, spray all-purpose cleaner on the washing machine top and sides and wipe.
  5. After the water sits for 1 hour, let the machine run for the full cycle. Once the cycle finishes, run a short cycle to clean off any leftover residue.
6. Remote controlsThe remote controls that your family members use for everything from TV to gaming have seen some things. Let us not speak of their many journeys to the depths of the couch cushions. Cleanse them of what likely ails them using Thieves Wipes or a cloth spritzed with all-purpose cleaner, as noted in our doorknobs and light switches tip.
7. BathtubFinally win your battle against the ring of soap scum that constantly evades you. Your bathroom will smell fresh after you take on the toughest tasks using Thieves Household Cleaner, which has a bright, lemon scent, derived from essential oils, not synthetics!
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner with ⅓ part white vinegar; then spray tub generously.
  2. Sprinkle tub generously with baking soda. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Scrub lightly with a sponge or rag; then rinse with warm water.
8. Shower curtainWrestling with the shower curtain is no one’s idea of a good time—or maybe it’s yours, which if it is, you probably don’t need this tip! To wrangle with this bathroom monster:
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Spray down the inside of the shower curtain—go buck wild and spray down the outside if you’d really like to go crazy—let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Rinse with warm water.
9. Toilet baseAh, the chore for when fancy company is coming—you know what we mean. No one likes getting down to clean behind the toilet unless someone extra important is coming for dinner. Well, when the Queen of England traipses in for tacos, here’s what you do:
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Spray down the base of the toilet and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Wipe down.
  4. For the hardest to reach spots, try spraying a retired toothbrush with all-purpose cleaner!

10. Computer keyboardMessy, grimy keyboards are havens for crumbs and gunk. Clear away the grime quickly by taking a Thieves Wipe to it, or using a cloth spritzed lightly with all-purpose cleaner. Make sure your computer is turned off so you don’t aof;joewifaho90we8fuyhonhvgo’drenvgn
11. Toothbrush holderHere’s another oft-forgotten dirty spot. Perhaps because it’s where we go to make mouths clean, we don’t recognize it’s laden with filth. Clean it up quick!
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Spray the toothbrush holder generously with all-purpose cleaner and let sit for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Wipe with a lightly abrasive rag or sponge; rinse any remaining residue and cleaner.
12.  Trash canHoo-boy! If there’s a funky spot in your house, this might be it. No matter how careful we are when we change the liners, somehow, the bottom of the trashcan seems to get filthy. Make it fresh, fast!
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Remove liners from inside trash can and spray generously in and outside the trash can. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Wipe down the trash can with a cloth; then rinse with warm water.
13. VacuumIt makes sense that your vacuum cleaner would need a deep cleaning every now and again. To clear out the dust bunnies and make it like new, give it a good scrub with Thieves Household Cleaner.
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Change or dump out the filter.
  3. Spray a microfiber cloth with all-purpose cleaner and wipe down all accessible parts.
  4. For hard-to-reach spots, use a toothbrush sprayed with all-purpose cleaner to scrub away!
14. FridgeFrom finding unidentifiable bits of old produce to leftovers way past their prime, cleaning out the fridge is always an adventure. The bright scent of Thieves, coupled with its toxin-free cleaning power, makes getting through this chore much easier.
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Remove all food from the refrigerator and throw away old and expired food.
  3. Spray shelves and walls of fridge with all-purpose cleaner and let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Wipe with a microfiber cloth and put remaining food back into the fridge.
15. Faucets and showerheadsWhen you see the hard water- or soap-stained scum on your faucets, don’t tell yourself, “I should do something about that.” Face your problems head on—conquer your world! This is a challenge that is easily faced and so satisfying once completed.
  1. Mix a bottle of all-purpose cleaner.
  2. Spray showerhead, faucet, or drain cover generously with all-purpose cleaner.
  3. Using a plastic bag filled with 1 cup of vinegar, submerge the shower head and faucet. Secure the bag with string or twist tie. Let sit for 30 minutes
  4. Remove plastic bag and rinse with warm water. For any remaining residue, use a toothbrush sprayed with all-purpose cleaner.
